Dr. Lambelet at the Swiss Embassy

Swiss Ambassador Paul garnier received Dr. Edouard Lambelet and Mrs. Roswitha Lambelet, the Swiss owners of the famous Lehnert and Landrock Bookshop and gallery - Egypt in downtown Cairo.
The bookshop is one of the oldest Swiss establishments in Egypt dating back to 1936. It is internationally renowned for its collection of black and white photos that were taken in the early 20th century by Austrian and German travel photographers and writers Rudolf Franz Lehnert and Ernst Heinrich Landrock, respectively. The Lambelets presented Swiss Ambassador Paul Garnier with a copy of the book “Lehnert and Landrock: Postcards of the Past Loving Egypt.
The bookshop is now located at 36 Abdel Khalek Tharwat street, first floor, just around the corner.
