Progress Report

Ushuaia Argentina is at latitude 54° 48' South; it is nicknamed "fin del mundo" or end of the world, nothing exists further south, not even Australia or New Zealand, the next piece of land to the south will be Antartica.

This is where Sherif will start his journey of 28 thousand kms that will take him through South, Central and North America crossing over 12 countries; a journey that will last for a minimum of 120 days ending in Anchorage Alaska in USA.

This page will be regularly updated presenting weekly progress report during Sherif's Pan Am crossing adventure.

The sign says 17,848 km to Alaska, but Sherif will be crossing from east coast to west coast twice, which will bring him close to 30 thousand km till his final destination at Anchorage Alaska.

The sign also mentions the famous 3,045 km long Argentinean highway Ruta Nacional 3; this highway starts in Ushuaia and ends in Buenos Aires.
