Goodbye Ambassador Markus Leitner

The Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt Markus Leitner is soon to leave Egypt and assume his new position in Teheran as Ambassador of Switzerland to The Islamic Republic of Iran.

On this occasion, Markus Leitner and his spouse hosted their farewell reception at their residence in an event attended by foreign diplomats, Egyptian officials, and members of the Swiss community in Egypt.

During the reception, he extended his appreciation to all friends present for their support during his stay in Cairo and expressed hearty thanks to his colleagues and people from all walks of life for their contribution to supporting Swiss-Egyptian relations.

Many other members of the Swiss Embassy were also reassigned in new positions including the lovely Councul Mrs. Verena Mathis who is now serving in Johannesburg South Africa .. Will miss you Verena.
