Egypt's Minister of Antiquities Khaled El Enany and Swiss Ambassador Markus Leitner, in the presence of Irina Bokova, Director General of UNESCO, opened today the fully restored Stoppelaere House in Luxor which was built in 1950 by Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy for the French conservator Alexander Stoppelaere.

The house will become a training and documentation center for local experts to specialize in high-resolution recording technologies for the preservation of heritage and creation of exact facsimiles of tombs and other monuments. More information on this link.
