Two countries thousands of kilometers apart from different cultures yet have a common history that is unprecedented in many ways, a history that reaches back to the late third century AD.
The Author, Yehia Shalash (b. 1950), from Alexandria, Egypt, lived in Switzerland on two separate occasions. When he started writing this book he never expected the rich-fullness, magnitude and diversity that his research will reveal.

The book presents the stories of proud Swiss Egyptians and Egyptian Swiss and the communities they built in their second home, the stories of individuals whose roles and valuable contributions are slowly fading away, yet indeed deserves proper admiration, acknowledgment and respect. Their contributions had affected many lives in many ways for generations to follow.
This book is an attempt to preserve that history and give it due acknowledgment.
